About us

Every stitch has a beginning. Every tradition has its roots.

Root Weave was born from the belief that Chikankari is more than embroidery—it is a living heritage passed from one generation to the next, carrying with it the patience, skill, and stories of Lucknow's artisans.

Our name reflects this philosophy.

Root represents where we come from—the rich cultural roots of Lucknow, the centuries-old legacy of Chikankari, and the artisans whose hands have preserved this craft through generations.

Weave represents what we do. While Chikankari is embroidered, every garment we create weaves together heritage and modern living, tradition and contemporary design, artisans and admirers across the world.

At Root Weave, every thread carries a purpose. Every motif echoes history. Every garment is a bridge between the hands that create it and the people who wear it.

We are committed to preserving authentic Lucknow Chikankari while presenting it with timeless elegance for today's world. We work with respect for craftsmanship, choosing quality over mass production and authenticity over imitation.

Because true luxury is not created by machines.

It is shaped by human hands, perfected with patience, and carried forward through generations.

Root Weave is our promise to honour those roots—and to weave their legacy into the future.

BRAND STORY

Not every founder starts with a grand vision.

Some start with a question that refuses to leave their mind.

Mine was simple: What if I could build something of my own?

I wasn't chasing a trend or trying to become an entrepreneur overnight. Like many people, I was navigating life one day at a time, doing what needed to be done, carrying responsibilities, managing expectations, and wondering if there was room for a dream that belonged entirely to me.

The truth is, starting was messy.

There was no perfect plan, no investor, no family business waiting to be inherited. Most days were spent figuring things out as I went along. I made mistakes, searched for answers, started over more times than I can count, and learned lessons that no textbook could have taught me.

What kept me going wasn't confidence. It was hope.

Hope that small efforts eventually become something meaningful. Hope that ordinary people can create extraordinary things if they stay consistent long enough. Hope that it is never too late to begin, even when you feel unprepared.

I think that's why this journey means so much to me.

It isn't a story about having all the answers. It's a story about choosing to begin before I felt ready. About believing in a possibility before there was any proof. About showing up again and again, even on days when nobody was watching.

If there is one thing I've learned, it's that most dreams don't start with certainty. They start with courage—the quiet kind that whispers, "Try anyway."

And that's exactly how my story began.
